Hi all,

A sign buddy has been using Komacell lately in place of MDO for painted signs. Says it beats having to finish the edges. However, he's only used it for signs with a white background.

Has anyone used Komacell with a painted background? I was wondering how the shiny surface accepts paint. I would imagine it needs to be dull-sanded, primed, then background-coated. Anyone?
Thanks...

I am using Intecel. It sands and paints very nicely.

I'm not sure but isn't that the equivelent to Sintra ? The best stuff for painting that I've found is Multi-Purpose Screenprinting ink. I would't use it to replace plywood though, it expands like crazy in the heat and becomes brittle over time. That is, if it is like Komotex or Sintra.
