Up in Smoke, was the word at King Sign Design today. Fire burnt to the ground my prep building!! This was the out building where panels were being painted at the Duck Soup. ALL vehicles were untouched as was the house and new sign building. Everyone is OK including the animals. I was meaning to clean that place up anyway!!!!
Think I should have a "FIRE SALE"?? Keep us in your prayers anyways
will try to get some fire in progress pics up.

I saw the smoke about 10 miles up the interstate, I got really worried as I got closer and realized the smoke was right at the cell tower in Pat's back yard. Then the road was blocked with fire trucks and police cars. I finally got close enough to see that there where no ambulances. I was glad to get to see Pat, Bobbi, and Joe all OK.

When I first saw this post up I thought, 'Oh goodie, Pat's doing flames!"
I am so sorry to find out what really happened. I know my shock does not compare to yours and Bobbie's.
I am so glad to know the house wasn't damaged and Bobbie's shop is still up.
Take heart, bigger and better is coming. I know you know to count your blessings. Now the ground for your new shop is purified!
I pray your sign kit wasn't burnt up. It's one thing to replace a bunch of paint but all the tools you collect and cherish over the years, kinda hard to replace. If you did lose your kit, let me know and I'll send you a bunch of stuff. I have two of a lot of things and I couldn't think of a better man to help.
I have a drill/sander and a jigsaw you can have. I'll even drive it over if ya want...that way I can help you clean up the debris. I lost most of my paint when I moved, it got left behind by accident. So I don't have a lot in my paint cabinet, but a care package of everything else I can think of is available.
I tried to call Nancie again, but to no avail, her cell phone is not up and running. I'll try to stop by her apartment tonight and catch her.
You've been so kind to me Pat, you and Bobbie both. I know you're going to be rewarded for all your kindness to others. Just keep updating your list of stuff you lost for us to help you with and maybe the 1-shot fairies will surprise you!

Sorry to hear of your loss.Glad you,Bobbie, and the animals are unharmed. I too know something about losses suffered from a fire. In 1984 my parents house burned down due to robbery and arson. My parents were out of town when this happened but it was such a great shock to see all the pictures and memoribilia gone not to mention the house being a total loss. If there's anything we can do..just let us know. Roger wondered if his Pat King special overalls were spared You and Bobbie are in prayers. Roger and Judy

Monte, you forgot the Monets and Raphaels hanging in the reception hall hehehe! Oh! and the red velvet rope gig he had strung up to the executive office wing.
Hehehe, might as well have been that elaborate, I've been there and the love on that ground is worthy of it, no holes barred.
Yo, Pat!
After I got out of the shower, Jenny told me what happened over the phone. Dont make me come over there! LOL!
Actually it was great to hear you had such a fabulous sense of homor. I got your message back and I'm glad to know!
I'm saying thank you for you now!
Bobbie, I'm glad you were spared, that goes without saying, can you imagine what a wreck Pat would be without you? LOL! We love you two a lot!
Thanks for reminding me that life is short and must be adored...every breath!

Really sorry to hear this Pat, but like everybody else said, at least you and Bobbi are OK. All that other stuff can be replaced, but you guys never could be.
Let me know if there is anything we can do.

Pat, I know some things can never be replaced.Photographs and old patterns. I have plenty of old patterns and would be glad to send some to you for ambiance and comfort. Glad you have insurance to cover the lawnmower and building. Seems like the clean up following a fire is the hardest part. Glad you're OK.

Sorry to read about your loss; please add Kathy and me to the list of well-wishers. As other have stated, contents are easier to replace the people. God bless.
By the way, Kathy said to let her know when to make a trip to McCalla to help pinstripe the doors after the rebuild. I don’t know why she was laughing while she said it!
