I have designed an entrance sign for a subdivison which surrounds a beautiful pond... "Blue Pond". It has a pictorial with calm cool blue water and sky and tranquil green trees etc. Our clients, who don't want the public to have access to it, have now mentioned adding "a restricted residential community" to the new sign. Doesn't this sound a little harsh....perhaps..... "restricted"? Any other ideas on how this should be worded? Maybe "exclusive" wouldn't sound quite so austere? Nice pretty lake, retirement, peace, tranquility, fishing ........ahhhhhh ain't it nice? "RESTRICTED" makes my blood pressure elevate just seeing the word. Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks Jack and Victor. Now I remember seeing that on a sign before. Seems to me that "Private" would sound much more inviting to potential buyers.

I make a lot of Private Drive, Residents and Invited Guests Only signs. Maybe you can substitute some of the elements to meet your needs.
