Excellent! It's been really tough...but I've been on a "boycott China" thing since they held our pilots, supplied weapons to the Taliban, and their general contempt for us over the Taiwan deal. Funny, they hate us but they love it when we spend money on their junk.

You know, I find that American stuff is more expensive...but built "like a Rock". [Big Grin]

Yeah! The owner doesn't know why, but since half his sign has burnt out, business has been boomin!

That's hilarious!

PKING,

Boycott Chineese Food sold by American Entrepreneurs? Boy, you're really stretching it there my man. I believe I said "Chinese Junk", not "Chinese Junkfood". [Wink]

My personal opinion, ....is to boycott Chinese made junk (products) in favor of American made goods based on several factors. To clarify, here is the what, why, when, how, etc you requested:

What: I avoid buying all (Mainland) Chinese produced goods wherever possible realizing it isn't ALWAYS possible. This is difficult but doable for the most part.

Why: As stated above, because of China's contempt for the U.S. Because of their threats of aggression against our stance towards Taiwan, their aggression towards our pilots, their murderous human rights record, and their aid to the Taliban. Those dogs will imprison a shoplifter with no fair trial, kill him, harvest his organs and sell them on the black market. That's the kind of barbarians that run the government.

Also I'd rather buy American products from Americans, and that includes Chinese Americans.

Where: I'd rather buy a sign from you than a sign from a Chinese warehouse.

When: Whenever possible.

How: Check the labels.

And this is my humorous take on the "FCHina" picture. The body parts one is very funny...I hadn't thought of that.

Here's a copy of today's headlines:
Monday April 22, 10:49 AM

Jiang ends five-nation tour, deploring expansion of US war on terror

Chinese President Jiang Zemin concluded a five-nation tour in Iran, voicing loud opposition to an expansion of Washington's "war on terror" and policies in the Middle East.

You can buy what you want...that's your perogative...I'll buy what I want. [Big Grin]

Todd, no defense of the Chinese, but you do remember we were spying on them don't you?
I'd like to support American companies to, except for the fact that very few of them consider themselves American, and take their money outside the U.S. whenever possible.

Very good point David. I have to agree. I would have to say, though, that we were in international airspace, just outside theirs (supposedly). I think that the more people reject products from China in favor of American (or friendly nation) products, the less attractive they would be to American companies. Supply and demand. No demand....why supply it?

Realistically....will this happen? Probably not. Too many people look directly at the bottom line in their place in the world which is their pocketbooks, rather than the big picture.

But you're right, there's probably not enough of us (China boycotters) to make a dent. I just do what I think is right...and that's all I can do.
