I usually do not have too much trouble in the pricing area but now I want to start cranking out more airbrushed work and dont really know how to charge. Sure I could use my hourly rate but then I am a whole lot slower then a really experienced guy. Any help here would be great. A good example I guess would be the Harley tanks I posted on the portfolio page, how much should those go for?

Thanks

Brian

The way I think of these jobs are!

1 How much Time did I sit down with the customer and the Time to come up with the Design for them to approve! (Hours in Shop Rate)

2 The Prep Work to get everything ready for the Artwork (Hours in Shop Rate)

3 The Artwork/Airbrushing in itself!(Hours times Shop Rate)

4 Clearcoating (You or a Bodyshop?) Time spent to do yourself or Cost by someone Else to apply. (Mark Up 50%)

5 Deposit Down on Job! 40% plus C.O.D. on delivery

6 Materials that you had to pay for (125%)
Buy a quart and use a ounce (Charge the Quart)

If he doesn't like the pricing then hand him the brush!!!!!

Your work is Quality and no Bars to be held!

Good Luck!
