Hello my friends. A while back I was writing asking for someone to make a logo for fortune900.com. Someone did.

I wanted to take my first shot at doing this stuff. Can you look over my logo and see if it's easy to read? It's supposed to say "Ace Telco".

I ask you this opinion because with my vision, maybe I'm missing something. [Smile]

Looks like it needs some space between the two words...in my opinion. Otherwise ...nice logo!

I loved the way the A and the c were joined.

The space between the words could be played with a bit. I think it's a fresh look and bound to work.

That last one is too literal....go with your first design, but add an abstract element with it for some kind of interest.

The logo, by itself, seems a little generic.....no meanness intended.

Att has it's little stylized globe, MCI has it's swoosh, etc......without them, they are just plain simple, ugly type. My opinion. [Wink]

I would suggest your first logo...leave the spacing alone, and put a contrasting HORIZONTAL line which starts after the "A", and midway in height between the "E" and the "T".........goes to the right and ends above the "O" in a little electrical "Pulse" or "burst" of energy. I do mean "little" though...no fourth of July fireworks.

Does this make sense?

Sorry to disagree, but the spacing ruined it. I think it is very legible the way it was first introduced. I might use a type without rounded attributes though. A square ended non serif type would give a 'stronger' more confident feel.

Looks good!, but if you lowered the height of the A&T just a little I think it would flow nicer, just an opinion.

Joshua,

I also like the A and C combo! [Cool]
It works for me.

You may try adding a little more border (get it off the floor) and raising “ELCO” to distinguish the 2 words.

Just thoughts… [Smile]

RE: Joe Abner's Last post

That's a cool idea, whole new perspective...now I'm looking at the capital T and thinking telephone pole.

Yall are so cool [Smile] I got lots of opinions to work with. I did have a little flash thing I made where the slant of the letter "A" in the word was the side line of a road with telephone poles passing by as if you were driving...then they faded out and just the logo was left. But my drawings of poles looked just the same as that rounded lines I used in flash to make the letters. Not believable.

Does anyone have a telephone 3d model or clip art image? I have been looking on corbis and google for 2 days now with no luck.

Thank you for posting the revisions. They are cool

Also, thank you for your professional critiques. It means a lot coming from this group.

I like that last post too! The one with "telco" elevated. As for the telephone pole... I GET that. Are there still any of those left? Where I grew up they started getting rid of them in the early 70's. We had boxes and boxes of colored glass insulators. Don't have a one now! Yes, we even had "party" lines when I was a kid and I don't mean cocaine, dude. I doubt if MY kids would even recognize a telephone pole. Then again, there are plenty of things that they would not understand like getting off your butt to manually turn a dial to change TV stations (we had three plus VHF). Man, I must be getting old.

Hi Joshua...what would it look like if you dropped down the word Telco a bit with no more space between words?

I like the A & C combo.
