Dee...a more graceful way to go through life is to dance. Screaming to a skid in front of the post office leads me to believe you work to hard, ha ha ha! Slow down gal, light some candles and run a tub of hot water to sink into. I'd shut the door if ya got cats or you'll be swattin em off the side of the tub the whole time yer in there. Maxie can't jump high enough to fall? I hope not.
Try listening to this if you can get it: Fields of Gold by Eva Cassidy. A very dear friend of mine sent it to me last night and I'm still listening to it. It's one of the most peaceful and beautiful love songs I've ever heard.
Don't underestimate the power of relaxation and then creating the person you want to be in the future. All it takes is wild look in yer eye and a decision to follow through.
This is kidney weather and the kidney meridian in the body governs the creative, romantic and sensuous aspects of a body. Also, representing the relationship we have with our significant other, as it were. Love songs this time of year are good medicine...oh, and so is lots of water!
With kidney weather comes a lot of wind totin big water and our currents get thwacked outta whack. I believe they call it mutable...easily distracted.
Don't turn into one of those dead critters on the road runnin around crazy. Step out in the moon light and sing. Put flowers around the house.
My kidneys work whether I want 'em to or not... Must be the 6 cups of coffee I just drank...
As far as being a procrastinator.... put it off 'til tomarrow...
Have a great one!

Dorothy, My advice to you for helping your procrastination is just like the ads for EKIN say:
Just don't do it!! haha -WHAT'S EKIN backwards?? Ignore anything that gets between you, your coffee and the local casino, and all your stress will melt away.
But seriously, Doug hit it on the head. 1) make a list of all of your impending projects, to-do's whatever you want to call them; 2) Itemize by priority; 3) do the list.
Make the longest projects first, based on priority, so that the spaces in between as you get to the end will be better filled (we always get distracted towards the end) by shorter projects that can be done quickly, or nibbled at because they aren't due right away!!
That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.

Now I believe in paying my taxes as I do enjoy having good roads and a strong feeling like the government is protecting us all, but why give them money in advance of the deadline when they only charge 8% interest and penalties. It is a cheap line of credit, I figure. I pay in some quarterlies and make the 4/15 line, but what I would really like to see would be to make the deadline maybe October 15th, instead, as summer cash flow is always greater than winter. My two cents worth! www.prestonmccall.com

Hi .. Ever since I got a really good taxman......he sets up our appointments, and does all the work. I now get refunds! (within a week electronically).. Mister Taxman is expensive....but worth every penny. I used to be driving around at almost midnight looking for the post office with the tax drop off slots. It was crazy.

I don't understand why some people like getting money back. That means that you overpaid !!! Why loan the government interest free money ???? I don't think some of these tax experts are so smart, my guy screwed me over big time last year. He had me roll over my conventional IRA to a Roth all at once. The guy I just saw said he would have done it incrementally, meaning that I wouldn't have had to owe three thousand dollars on it. I don't flush three grand down the toilet everyday, I feel like celebrating.

Jim.....tax people are just like sign people or anyone else. There are some great ones...and some not so great. For me it is great just having someone else do all the paperwork and be incredibly good at it. I am terrible with paperwork. He gets me organized and lets me know what I am doing right and wrong in my business. I usually call him a few times during the year with questions too. Plus he does my sons taxes at the same time for free. Tax time used to be a real crazy time for me. Now it isn't. Different strokes for different folks. I love getting a surprize refund! It helps with fixing the leaking roof...or gives you a much needed vacation.

My taxes took maybe 15 minutes to complete, thanks to meticulous electronic bookkeeping that I do throughout the year, and the bookkeeping is pretty simple too.. just enter the data every time you have a transaction whether you paid someone or they paid you. The hardest part is just sittin down and "just do'in it".
Software is a wonderful thing.. just click a few buttons and all the income, expenses and deductions are automatically imported into the Tax software. No muss no fuss.
I also e-filed.. no papers to worry about mailing anywhere and no chance of some monkey at the IRS entering the data incorrectly, they are afterall, only human..
I still waited til yesterday to file though.. Since I did owe taxes there's no rush to get it done, if I were getting money back I'da had em done in January.
