Hey Glen, we thought spring was here last week, but after days of rain, and today, SNOW!!(at least it was snowing heavy up Grouse Mt. on our trail maintenance day today, COLD too!
So, where is spring? I don't think it's time to get in the first 26er of Tanqueray just yet, eh?

Yeah Glenn, I know the pollen trip way too well. We actually have clouds of the stuff down here. Especially if we have no rain for quite a while. You can see it puffing up in huge yellow clouds when the wind blows. I've seen it so thick here at times that it looks like yellow fog!! I used to dread the pollen season. It would catch a huge dose of it for a month or so when I was home and then have to leave to go back to the mountains to work. Once I got back there the season was just beginning so I got a double dose every year!! Needless to say my sinuses didn't cooperate with me for about 4 months a year. It was a given. Sufferin as we speak, R.T.

Same problem over here Glenn mate, Huge field of rape seed plants across the road from my house like a massive yellow blanket. Not enough time between sneezing and wiping my streaming eyes to eat.

Spring for me....... Pollen and Drugs
Been suffering here. It starts with sore throat, sinus congestion, watery burning eyes, then progresses to burning lungs and bronchial tubes, then my asthma kicks in and I'm gasping for air. Sometimes it progresses to bronchitis.
All the rain we just had was a blessing though. I'm breathing much more easily now.
I still love Spring Try wearing a dust mask outside, it helps.

We dont have too many allergens here in the desert, but if you are sensitive to blowing dust and sand you may not like it here.
Here's a couple pics I thought I'd share.. the first one is a sunset shot I took, facing across the lake at another small desert town.. the second pic is the very same shot, from the same location, taken of that very same town.. I took this one yesterday (Monday) to show how windy it gets here.. the other side of the lake is invisible.

By the way, no our lake doesnt run downhill, I just didnt notice the tripod not being level at first and since I already took a few pics I left the tripod as-is.. I took about 50 pics of this sunset to make a "stop-action" video of it so I wanted all frames in the same position.
