I'm lettering a race car this morning. We had those portable lights that are on their own stands so I can move them if I need more light in a certain area (like around those %*!$ rivets). I went to adjust one down so I could see to put the checkered flag on the bottom edge of the car and managed to firmly plant my palm on top of the light.. on the hot metal part...the VERY hot metal part. The skin wasn't broken so there was no risk of infection, it was just burning. Having no aloe plant or cold faucet nearby to run to, I grabbed the bottle of Rapid Tac and figured "What the hell?" I'm happy to report instant relief and the burning has not returned.
Thank you Roger.

A friend and I were up in the woods (western Oregon) fly fishing some streams, he fell down a steep bank, put his hand down to break the fall, but put it on an old rusty barbed wire fence! Ripped it pretty good.
Well the only form of anticeptic was (well you know) Rapid Tac, he sprayed it good, wraped some of his shirt around it, swears he never had a problem after that.

This has happened to me as well only my Rapid Tack wasn't as handy as it was for you. I had NO other recourse, other than to grab a cool handy Budweiser to help remove some of those nasty BTU's!!
Needless to say, the Bud doesn't help me reposition my signs,
BUT IT SURE DOES HEAL!!!

Fishing bait scent?? You've been holding out on us. Steelhead run in on here in northern Michigan. Strung up my new flyrod today. Got any of those little sample bottles left. Should fit in my fly vest just right!

Last time I was using Rapid-Tac was in removal of my own logo from old shop truck before tradinmg up to my new 2002. I was using a hair dryer to assist in softening the vinyl & encouraging more adhisive to come off with it. Things were going OK but the hair dryer with it's built in thermostat or something kept taking longer breaks then I could tolerate. So time to break out the REAL heat gun.
This did a better job, but I had been in the habit of blindly grabbing the plastic hair dryer while still looking at my work. When I grabbed the metal end of the heat gun, it was heard throughout the building. One small stroke of luck, I guess, is that Aloe grows incredible over here, & I just happened to have plenty in a potted plant in front of the shop.
Hopefully I won't need your tip of the day for awhile, but good to know it anyway.

First, Chris, I am sorry you burned your hand. I hope it heals quickly!
Roger,
I heard a rumor that it makes a great tasting toothpaste and a fabulous floor polish.
I ain't about to run that stuff over my old teeth or my new wood floors hehehe! I think it's great that it makes an excellent "must have" in the old sign kit...for health reasons, even.

Great as an Ice cream topping, works as a floor polish too! I use it for deodorant

We often spray WD40 on bait when trolling for King Salmon. For steelhead we tie berries of salmon roe in a netting. I'll try Roger Juice next year when the rivers swell, 'cause steelhead season is history now here.

While lettering racecars, Rapid Tac goes down good as shots w/ Corona chasers.

One time about 2 years ago, while I was ahh... was ahh... applying letters to the SPACE SHUTTLE, yah, that's the ticket! Yah, I was applying letters to the space shuttle, you know those 24" Helvetica black ones, well anyway, it was a rush job and I was on the launch pad when all of a sudden the launch sequence started, so I quick jumped off my 120' extension ladder, and was getting out of the way of the engines wake, when I heard 'em say over my radio they were short on fuel, one of dem NASA miscalculations... so I took out my gallon of Rapid Tac and I added it to the shuttle fuel... yah that's what I did, I added right into the fuel tank, you know, the little screw in type thingy with the black plastic cord attached...

Hey Woman... I thought you were gonna say you used it as perfume! Hope your boo-boo is OK. I need your address again, cuz your business card is in a window display in Mars with all my other sign buddies cards. I have some pix from Johnstown to mail ya. Old Paint, I think they go to the Wick City Saloon. Tionesta & Tidioute are too far away. Kurt, I think you've been working on the placement of colors in prismatic race car #s and have fried yer brain! Good tall tale tho. Rodger, are you coming to Mars & bringing plenty of Rapid Tac? It's yellowy color has an alienistic glow...we could use it to attract REAL aliens, and all have a missing-time episode together (without the anal probes, o'course) Love- JILL
