I'm trying to get a feel for what salaries other signshops pay for employees.

How much do you pay skilled labour? (ie. fabricators/installers)

How much do you pay for unskilled labour? (ie. weeders, helpers)

How much for graphic designers?

Do you offer Health/Dental plans to full time employees?

Do you offer Pension Plans to full time employees?

Do you pay overtime premium?

How much paid vacation time/leave time do you grant annually to full time employees?

I realize salaries and salary expectations will vary by country/region and I realize health care costs and needs greatly differ country to country, but a discussion would be interesting.

Right now we are paying between 8-10 for unskilled, 11-13 for skilled, and we pay 100% of a comprehensive Health/dental/insurance program. Time and ½ for any hours over 40 hours per week. Paid vacation time averages between 3 and 4 weeks. (2 weeks are all that is required by law.)

In our neck of the woods, that equates to renumeration that is significantly higher than offered in the retail sector, significantly lower than offered in the Mining/Industrial sector and slightly lower than the average in the service sector.

Mike

I think that your hourly rates plus benifits and vacation pay is right on the money for this part of the country.

I mean that!

Skill labour may go alittle higher depending on the trade of the person.

NOW SIGN ME UP! and I'll be there in a week to start the JOB!
