Howdy all!

I have quite a nice crossection of talent forming for the meet here but could use more talent if anyone is thinking of coming!

(1)I am looking to have a large screen computer area set up for demonstrating some of the wizardry in drawing and would love to have someone avid in design/concept/special effects etc...to put on a show!

(2) Someone to be "on call" for cutting mask and deriving artwork for those needing it. We will be cutting sandblast mask/vinyl for airbrush, glass, sandblasting etc. Our sytem is a choice between corel and scanvec flexi or inspire. We have 2 cutters...so room for 2 people on that!

(3) I woodcarve(but will be limited in what I can do because I fear I will be running around like a chicken) but would love to have someone that is great in that area for demonstration...be it foam or wood!

Demonstrations currently covered:

Concrete sculpture-Dan Sawatzky
Airbrushing-Alton Gillespie
pinstriping-Steve Robinson/Robert Nouis
Faux Finish/Painting - Arvil Shepard
Channel Letter Building - Mark King
Bandsaw letter techniques-ME!.. [Smile]
Mural Painting(hopefully Adrienne Morgan)
Glass Sculpture/Etch - Bob Pickard
Gold Leaf/Glue Chipping - Fred Self

If you think you might add a twist to those demonstrating above, I welcome it!!!!

Anything that y'all come up with, I will make the room to accomodate you!...Just send me a shopping list and what you would like to help demonstrate!

Demonstrations will be scheduled throughout the weekend but only held once....All demonstratees will be asked to wear a badge signifying they are available to any newbies that might have a question!

No meet fee will be charged to those willing to demonstrate!

SO.....Having said that, Please let me know as soon a possible!......Thanks!

I also am trying to get things together to sculpt a 15' armadillo out of foam...with urea coating/painting....That would require someone knowledgeable in wire cutting.

Hey, Robert, be sure to make some EASELS for those guys that smear paint with brushes!!! At my meet, I just did not think about it and those guys just wander around with their hands in their pockets. [Roll Eyes] Call Pat King and he will tell you how, if you don't already have something set up. Good luck to ya !

Thanks John

Yes,
I stole the idea from Fred Self at Oklahoma to use sheet rock as a background......what do ya think about that?...I thought it worked real well for Fred so we will be puttin them up like that...what is so cool is we have air lines down the length of 2 16' tables right under the top...so it works real well for airbrushing!....but thanks for the info...

Hay Robert,

If you need a carver, how about JT Gazaway...isn't he in your area of Texas?

I saw his web-site and WOW! He's your man!

I was surprised he wasn't the first name on your attendees list. It could be that he's too busy astounding all his clients to make it. Why don't ya give him a call and see if he's got time to stop by during the meet.

I showed my students his web page and they went gah-gah! I'd love to see him show up!

Do you know him?

Linda
