Wow, Stephen, that's a shame! Hope you're not out of commission for too long. I sure can't do any airbrushing or drawing for you, but if you need any vinyl cut maybe we can help.

OUCH!!! Sorry to hear of your accident Stephen. On the bright side, when they splint your finger, you'll have the perfect excuse for giving the "one finger salute" whenever you see the need.
Hope you have a speedy recovery.

When I was in 7th grade (the first time, ok maybe the third time) I dislocated my right wrist playing football. Seeing that this is my dominate hand I was in pretty sad shape. HOWEVER.... I began to use my left hand to write, draw, throw etc...
Try puttin' the paint in your airbrush, support it with your dominate hand and use the other!

I broke the bone in my hand, over by the little finger one time. I told the Dr. to just make sure that I could still use the thumb, and two neighboring fingers, so I could still paint. I couldn't move my wrist, but I was able to get by with what I had until the cast was off. An interesting note. The Dr. told me when they test rats for arthritis meds, they inject them with solvents to GIVE them arthritis! Something to thing of, next time you clean your hands with mineral spirits, etc. Stephen, what's with your e-mail address? I tried to send you an e-mail & it wouldn't accept it. E-mail me, I'll get with you on the Ozzy tapings. Get well.

One time I awakened from surgery after cutting my thumb off through the joint and the doctor was there trying to explain to me that he did the best he could do. I was still rather delerious as he told me he put my thumb on crooked. I looked at this huge wad of bandage and was all doped up and didn't know what to make of it. When I got home from the hospital and needed to make a living one handed is when I bought my first Gerber machine in '85. Some very funny things occured during that one handed period. I went to the shop to coat out some boards with a brush. Ever try cleaning a 4" cutter one handed? And then needing to wash that one hand? Then I went out back to the bushes to take a whizz and couldn't get my zipper up one handed. Well, the only one around was this gruff little WW2 vet that had the machine shop next door. I went into his shop and there were a few guys, old fishermen, hanging around. I explained that I needed someone to wash my hand and pull up my zipper.
I hope your healing time goes well.

I found that if I nailed a towel and a handbrush to the end of the work table then I could scrub my hand and wipe it dry. The zipper was replaced by wearing sweats for a while.
