I just finished a race car and realized I left an outline off of a logo, I can get away with it the way it is but would much rather do it the way it was planned. The piece that is missing should have been the second layer (base-lime green pearl then black then white with a Krylon yellow fade). It is all done in Avery premium vinyl applied 3 days ago, is it possible to remove the white without damaging the green base? What is the safest way to do it? I know I can overlay the black, but I don't want the edge showing from the white. Also there are other layers on other parts of the green base, which is why i don't want to redo the whole thing if that makes any sense. Thanks

I may be wrong(I'd be happy to hear that I am)

But I think removing vinyl from another layer of vinyl would be a bit like removing everyother hair from your head, peanut butter from a p&j sandwich, the clear from a two stage paint job.

I don't know of a "safe productive way".

I agree with Roger - Is your customer Okay with it? If not, I'd just rip it all off the one piece & re-do. My guess is it's probably acceptable as is, unless you just can't sleep at night - hey, no job is perfect, every project is not a museum piece.....just my thoughts........Carl

Roger get off your butt and invent some "Rapid Remove The Layer You Want Without Harming The Other Layers Because You Were'nt Paying Attention To The Job At Hand, You Stupid Moron!" But I want credit for the idea. [Smile] The customer loves the job, but It's my logo thats screwed up (it figures) I think i'll lay the outline/shadow over it and live with the edge showing from the actual letters. thanks guys

A little heat and a little Chiseler.
Wet the inner layer with some Rapid Remover (Not Much) just enough to help soften the adhevise.

Plenty of paper towels to abort the overflow of Rapid Remover.
Whip dry any that get around the edge of vinyl that is on the substrate (Water bucket).

Good Luck!
