CJ,
Sorry to leave you hanging so I hope this helps.

This is taken from the Bio of Stanley Mouse’s post card entitled “Fink Different”

When Big Daddy Ed Roth met Mouse they went on to have friendly competition, (Roth was fascinated with Mouse’s characters, which proved to have a strong influence on the creation of Rat Fink.)

I was totally impressed with Mr. Mouse at last years Seibold where he signed and sold his artwork. This is some evolution story to witness, as his father was a sign painter/head and his son (Stanley) created the work for the Dead Head community, I guess they both thought ahead! (sic)

Anyway the long-standing dispute with who really created the Rat Fink we will never know as the legend Mr. Roth is no longer with us but the memories are.

From what I know Rat Fink started out on a

cocktail napkin. He's Big Daddy's vision

of what Mickey Mouse's father looks like.
