HI I am trying to open a file that a buddy of mine designed...its a logo, he used illustrator 6 and 7 and he saves it as .AI but I can't open it with corel draw 9 I have to open it with photoshop and then export it to .EPS. Only then I can open it with corel BUT its like a bitmap not a vector I cant ungroup or even edit the nodes which I need in order to send it to the plotter. If it helps the file was emailed to me which I think it doesn't matter since I can open with photoshop.
I want to thank you in advance for all your time helping me.Take care.Rui

Rui,
Did you happen to mean importing .ai into Corel? If you do have problems importing make sure you have all the right filtres installed.

As for converting a file to EPS make sure you export it as a WMF and not a Tif.

If you still have problems e-mail me the file and I could try and fix it for ya.

Hope this helps.
