Hi Heads, I have been using Arlon/Calon Silver Metalic Hi-performace, 7 year, for 2-3 years now and after that length of time it seems that it starts to lift and curl on the edges. So I am wondering if all of the Silver Metalic does that? If not what kind doesn't? I have a couple of jobs coming up to stripe some new pick-ups and I sure don't want to have it fail in 2-3 years.
Thanks for your input.

you know....I've seen silver fail quite a few times over the years as well. All brands....nothing particular. I think it's probably the case with most metallics. I always tell customers that it fails just like metallic automotive paint usually does.

In my 12 year striping experince.. 3M Automotive Grade is far superior to any other metallic...
at one time we were told it was rate 9-12 years...
i was looking at a vehicle i did, when i first started and the silver looks almost new,, and it was striped September 90....
Its available thru the Automotive (AutoBody) division of 3M in the u.s., Its not the same material as the scotchcal available thru sign distributors...
