I just went to work on a design using signlab 4.95 and I'm missing quite a few fonts that I have used before. They are the vef fonts that come with signlab. I did a file search and found all the fonts in my signlab folder, but they are'nt coming up in my font lists. I tried reinstalling them ,
but no luck. Then I copied them all from the cd to the signlab folder and they still are'nt showing up. Is there another folder that should have the fonts in it? Any idea why they are gone? Thanks in advance.

Hi Randy and David,

A couple of thoughts on your problems-- do you shut your 'puters down at night and do a cold start boot up in the a.m.? Do you run scandisk, defrag etc. fairly often?

When re-installing Signlab, did you do "uninstall" with that program first, or just overwrite it? Did you have to re-enter your password on the new install? Same question for re-entering the dongle number. And, if I remember right, the fonts are about the last items to install.

FWIW, some of us are more computer-challenged than others. There is a very good monthly magazine called Smart Computing (in plain English) that will assist most of us through some vexing problems that we might run into. They also have a website. Don't remember the address though.

Bill,
I try to defrag and run scandisc at least once a week. I also shut down the computer each night. I'm gueessing it needed to reboot for the fonts to show up, somethifng i should've done before posting. Thanks for the heads up on that magazine, I'll try to look for it. God knows I could use all the help I can get.
