The local Little league field wants some 4x8's on the outfield fence..
I want to donate them...less materials..
We want to use coroplast..then attach them to a chainlink fence..
ANy ideas for how to secure the signs?
I thought grommets n tie wraps.....
???

The grommets through coplast hold up well. The damn tyraps make it slow going, but they are the strongest and cheapest way to go. I just hate the sharp edge they have sometimes after cutting the excess.

Zip ties use them all the time the big black ones are the greatest uv doesn't effect them like the coloured ones we have some corflute signs out for at least 18 months no dramas don't use the real cheap ones though you get what you pay for

I would use nylon zip ties or white electrical wire. Not just on the edges, but, through the middle also. No grommets unless paid for.

Michael, a question keeps gnawing at me . .. .. are the ball field signs strictly to identify the kids ball club or sponsors for the team ??? Just wondering............

This sounds like a LOADED question Mike.
Is donate used as in FREE?
Or as in they will allow me to advertise my sign business?
What does the referance to "kids" have to do with
business?
Are they going to be putting them up?
THE FACT THAT YOUR NAME WILL BE ASSOCIATED with this work, should dictate .040 aluminum with large washers and toogle bolts.
At LEAST that way you won't come off looking like a cheap, fly by night, knock it out, give it away
sign business.
Which will effect the NEXT towns sign painter, the next COUNTIES sign people,States and beyond.
Till it trickels here, where I put a stop to it!!!!

Do it RIGHT or not at all.

Hope this helps
and I don't get flamed to bad
