Monte has an old post here about using Centari automotive paint(by Dupont) on vinyl. If you are reading this, any other info I should know about prepping the vinyl?-you didn't mention anything in your previous post.
Monte's post at bottom of this linked page

I tried emailing Monte, but it came back as undeliverable.

This could be a great option for color-matching vinyl as there is a very large range of colors to choose from including mettalics. The autobody supplier I bought the paint from couldn't put it in a spray can, but instead sold me a little Preval spray gun to try(uses a small can of compressed air screwed to the paint bottle)

wow...been a while since that was posted!

No special prep involved...I have applied it two different ways.

One by spraying the material, letting it set til cured then cut and weed. Works great!

the other by precutting the vinyl letters then spraying then weeding while still fresh. Also works great but your timing needs to be supurb...(somewhere between "hairing"and "healing") as you weed.

Good luck I know you will like it!
