Well EDIT Baby EDIT. I do have to clarify something here. I am not talking about any one person when I say LEAVE. I am just making a dramatic statement like so many appear to need to do lately. If you mess up.....say you are sorry. If you want to go..... then GO and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. But how many times do we have to beg or kiss ass around here??????? Sheesh Get a grip man. Take a vacation. Go dig a hole. But just don't expect everyone to constantly kiss your sorry ass all the time. This is what is making people really LEAVE for real folks. How do I know? In the past week or so I have received so many messages saying 'Thanks for being honest'. 'Thanks for having the guts to have 'feelings' for others'. (although it may not seem like I do in this post) 'Thanks for being a breath of fresh air'. 'Thanks for being the first to stand up to the egos'. I am not patting my self on the back......I am just tired of the craziness.....the meaness. The baby act. Lighten up my friends. We have lost alot of good people for this reason. For all the people who have left......COME back! HELP!

Hey Cheryl... did you ever notice that it always seems to be the boys that get their 'panties in a wad' so to speak?!? At least our PMS is only 1 week a month...
On a serious note, I think everyone sometimes reaches a point where you need some serious pats on the back. People act it out in different ways, depending on the personality and emotional needs.
In the worst case scenarios, a scream for that pat on the back can be as bad as an attempted suicide.
When a person turns and walks away... slowly... there's a little insecure kid inside praying that someone will follow, put their arm around you, apologize, tell you that you are ok and will help you try to make things better. Ask me how I know.
That still makes me sad/mad/hurt/angry that my ex-husband never felt the need to try to get me to stay. But that's another story.
People are people. People are mean. People are funny. People are insecure. People are arrogant. I can't change you anymore than you can change me.
This place never ceases to amaze me. Look at the intense effects it has on people's lives. Sometimes I think people should take a hiatus, a step back. Don't even turn the computer ON that day. As cool as this place is, DON'T forget the real-life flesh and blood people you have around you. Don't neglect them because of this place, either. I feel bad for the spouses of the people who LIVE this place. Your personal life should NOT revolve around everything that is said on the bullboard.

Suggestions...Yeah...i have one...actually about 3or4o5...#1,I agree with Cheryl...GET OUT DAMMIT IF YOU'RE GONNA...AND IF THEY WANNA GO LET EM! Most don't really wanna go,they just want people to beg them to stay.
#2..For Steve..Start pulling the damn posts or locking a thread as soon as you're made aware or see it causing a problem,whether its resident,visitor,merchant or Jinky the Circus Clown.....the reason all these 8yo's in a 40-50yo's body whine,cry,**** and moan and pout then leave forever and return in 20minutes to throw their zwieback is b/c they know there is probably no consequence for acting like a complete fool. Sure some will be mad at first but F'EM...they WILL get over it....on no other board no matter what the board topic does this constant reversal from adult to child happen...NONE. I know i just created upheveal to even suggest that,but i realize steve doesn't do it b/c he's trying to see the inherent good in people..YOU CAN'T,not when you have rules they won't follow...just in the last 3wks or so you can go back and read that enuff people can confuse this with reality to sit around and obsess about it all day...don't believe me? how about 3 seperate threads,over 100 posts and 3or4 fights on those threads posted by an imaginary person,and now an petition for someone else to stay by someone who claims to not to have time to post or participate here,people who hate merchants then talk out of the other side of their second face once they recieve something free,or,after Steve posts the rules of Letterville b/c of people asking for copywrighted clipart or fonts the 40 requests that follow,and depending on who or whats asked we either turn a blind eye or it sends people digging into the spiritual recesses of their artistic psyches in a bit of self created drama that could win an emmy. Must be me i guess...and yet we wonder why they're aren't more participants here? More franchise shops? And why some people get mad and think Letterheads are prima donnas? Just look at whats been posted since yesterday and you make your own choices for an answer. I guess maybe my patience is short lately or time off for me is too long in coming but christ people don't act like this drunk at mardi gras.
#3..when you're sitting around all day obsessing over who said what and spending 4hrs preparing that reply,why not use that time to hustle a little buisness..just a little..then maybe more people here might actually earn a living they're comfortable with instead of being jealous,petty and taking back biting potshots.
#4..Before what i said here turns into a pablum fest,consider this...everyone involved in this board considers themselves to be at the forefront of the industry,some more so than others and some are out in front of the public eye,so how do you think that looks to the guy working at Zippy's speedy signs who sees a name in a magazine and thinks what great work this or that guy does then clicks on the link to this place......and sees 50 people having inner turmoil over such insignificant bull**it????? Think he's coming back?? Hell no,and he's gonna bad mouth the place on top of that.

Nothin' nicer than hitting the road for 8 hours and then discovering a thread like this one. Cheryl pretty well said it all in her post, but there are always a bunch that insist on taking every opportunity to use this forum to do battle with each other.
I have no control over who you all decide you like and dislike at any given time, but I am fed-up with Letterville being used and/or blamed for the way a small minority of you choose to conduct yourselves.
This post is locked and will soon be deleted. The only reason it is still here is so Cheryl will have an explaination of why this thread was removed.
