You should be able to do it in Corel 7. Any group of lines that are a single keystroke must be combined before exporting. You set the image size and then assign a point size to the image size. Then select one object, file-export-ttf-and then follow the boxes. Do about six letters, load the font and see how it is acting with those six letters. When you like what you get, then you can do the whole set.

We used to do lot markers with numbers and arrow combinations. All the arrow combinations were keystrokes, much like you are proposing to do. It can save a lot of time on frequently repeating jobs. Vic G

PS - Corel does some odd things with unassigned characters. When you get done, I can run it thru font lab for you and housekeep it. VG

Fonts are basically vectors. the information used to make a font has to be vector format in order for the font to work. A tiff file is a bitmap format it will not work.

Timi is correct. I misread your original post, Chris. You have to convert your tiffs to vectors before Corel will import.

The FontLab manual states that the program can create fonts out of bitmaps. You would be able to type them but not cut them. FontLab is a costly program. You probably would not want to buy it for just one font.

Maybe someone else here has a better solution. Vic G

Go to http://www.eftelibra.co.uk/ttf.html and check out the tutorial. It's for version 8 but will give you enought information to work through the differences. You should do a web search for
"creating true type fonts in Corel Draw". There is a lot of info out there.
Hope this helps.
