I have a great business trip starting this weekend. I have a wonderful client of late who really gets it. I made a suggestion to him a while back in jest that we should take a trip to do some research in regard to his project. To my surprise took me up on it.
Saturday morning we are flying to LA for seven days and then on to Los Vegas for another 3 days. The purpose of our trip is too see as much as we can in this short period in relation to theme parks and ideas represented there.
This means I get to do what I love.... look at some of the best work in the world... touring theme parks. Of course we will discuise ourselves as tourists and try to keep a low profile as we do our industrial espianage.
We have some great meetings planned with some of the legends in the business too.
Should be a great trip!
Time to pack the sun screen and film and sketchbook and ....

Gosh Dan.....what great fun. I love Vegas! I took my kids there last summer and I think we went on every roller coaster in Vegas.(and there sure are alot) Have a great time. Oh and the Betty Boop machines pay well. Posts: 3729 | From: Seattle | Registered: Sep 1999

It's a rough life but somebody has to do it!
Congratulations on your new "find" - it will be interesting to see what comes out of that head of yours after seeing so much inspiration.
Isn't it interesting how just a week or so ago it looked like some of the stuff you like to do was not coming in as you had planned, and then "bang", what seems like the ideal customer comes along. This has happened to me so many times I can't remember - at the lowest point the greatest things happen. You just have to keep looking forward and taking one more step.
