Hi everyone! [Smile] Been a long time since my last post eh?

I am curently looking for a visual reference on how would have looked a storefront of a furnitures/appliances/tv/small appliances ect. business located...lets say in Philadelphia (or anywhere else)...mainpoint is 1957 ...middle class neighbourhood.

I have several windows to cover but mainly a couple of 100" x 100" where tv sets will be on display with small slogans kind of showcards.
"Complete 10-channel coverage", "single control station selector"...

And I want to render the feeling of the mid fifties...but I can't find any picture of a storefront of this era.

As the temperature is not that friendly the lettering will be done from inside in reverse.

Someone must have done this type of work and have something in a portfolio somewhere? say yesss!!! pleaaaasee show it to me!!! will ya?

Thanks for your time and....keep up the good work!

Hi Elaine. I tried using the dogpile search engine, entered http://www.mainstusa.com/historic.html
They seem to have a number of historic images you can look at.

Hope this helps. PS: Main Street USA also brings up a lot of other "Chambers of Commerce" sites as well. I didn't check them all out, but that may be worth a try as well.

Why do I get all those on-line offers to sell me Viagara, when the only thing hardening is my arteries ?
