Congrats to the ladies from the north. We were led to believe the USA was a lock for the gold. Still have to root for the Ruskies in the mens. Not being unpatriotic, have to go with my boy Khabibulin.

HEY HEY HEY! They were in a word "FANTASTIC". So excitng. But I have to say, and I will say it. The American referee was Atrocious, 13 penalties called on Canada, I wonder who she was rooting for, Canada had 8 consecutive penalties called on them. But Canada stood their ground, and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt who was the better team. And what was that I heard on the news... Did the Americans really have our Beautiful Flag, the Maple Leaf on the floor of their dressing room? But Kudos go out to Sahra Hughes, for winning the Gold For the US. She was Fantastic! Such a Sweetheart! I watched it all and it was close to 1am. here. Man did she skate her heart out.

I haven't watched a hocket game in years (decades actually), but I was rivetted by that one! Those girls have heart. To play more than 1/3 of the game shorthanded and keep the other team at bay that whole time without getting totally discouraged or physically worn out deserves the gold medal and all the accolades that come their way. What an inspiration they are!
