I'm looking for the font that the Motorcycle Club uses on their back cut/patch. I was told it was Thunderbird but that is wrong, if you go to one of the many web sites you'll see a different style of font. I was told that it might be a old west wood carving font, To me the serifs look like fish tales.
All so is there any good software for making your own fonts. I look forward to your help.
Thank You Eric

That particular "font" isn't really a font it is embroidered on their colors. If you have an HA who wants some sign work done I feel quite sure they can supply you with some sort of artwork to scan, otherwise I really wouldn't consider trying to copy their stuff.

not coping, Their Logos are trade marked & I am do some mirror sandblasting/etching for one that is a friend. It would be less work if I had it in font form insted of scanning.

I have done so much stuff for the local 81 (Salem/Lynn & Boston) I designed the font and saved the whole alphabet in .eps format. it is still a bit of a hassle to set the type but usually I got something already done that I can use. The font is my own creation and although similar to the rockers, it is not the same, but if a couple of us want it maybe we can create a font out of it . Let me ask CHuck Davis and see if we can make a font out of it. There is a font alot of the clubs and the support merchandise use called saloon it is closer to the origonal rockers than thunderbird

I have the font "Hells Angels" all letters A-Z and numbers 1&8. It was digitised in 96 and is called HA. I have done work for Route 81 here plus their Harley Drags team. They, understandably were very concerned about their font not being used for anything else. In the begining they wanted me to remove it from my system after everyjob, so I have never sent it to anyone. If someone there from HAMC wants to use it and its OK, then its not a problem for me, but I wouldn't send it out without an OK from HA.

Henry, Nor would I! I dont understand why people would... The other day I was hanging out with the prez from Boston 81 and he told me a story about a guy in the mall, who was taking your picture and for a frew dollars would super impose it on to a variety of differnt photos. Well, one was a HA on his motorcycle, Mike said " yeah put my face on that one" the guy did then Mike said " now your in a lot of trouble" ... he didn't tell me how the story ended.
