I know, I know, as alot of you are pointing out He is ONLY 11 y/o!?!?!?!
Actually it is not really "College", but he is taking a Saturday Art/Drawing classot at the University of Southern Indiana.
It runs for 9 weeks, for 1 1/2 hour class each week. Couldn't beat the price, $30.00 w/ supplies furnished. (Wish "Real" College was only going to cost me that
Anyway, I am real proud that he has taken such an intrest at this age, and I will support him as far as he wants to take it.

Our son dropped out of high school at 17 because he hated it. I told him it was either school or work, so the next day reluctantly missing the afternoon of watching MTV, he started a short career in car parking. In a few months he noticed all of his friends dis-owned him and getting a date was impossible. The kid was headed to become an expert at running a slurpy machine. He took the GED and scored well enough to get into JUCO ahead of his class. We told him he could go anywhere he could get in in the US.
After several semesters at JUCO he set his sites on Colby College in Waterville,Maine (the place Tony Soprano whacked that guy while visiting schools with Meadow). Naturally, it is a private school and terribly expensive. Well, five years later and $150,000 spent, he graduated with a degree in history. Colby was a great school and they did magic at keeping him tuned into the program. Bravo Colby.
Well, after wincing at how much our only child spent on college, we hoped he would seek employment. Six years later, he is half way thru his MBA that he is paying for and holds down a Natural Gas Trading job at a big energy trading company making (you guessed it) an amazing income.
Would I do it again like this? I had no choice and thank my lucky stars that he found education meaningful enough to go back and get it handled. Are you thinking about your kid headed someday to college? There are many ways to the top of the mountain, evidenced by our son. Honestly, I would not trade that $150,000 spent for anything. It was the best investment we ever made! He just bought me a fine sweater for my birthday and it does not even have some company name on the front.
