Hi all! It's been a while since I've been here. I had to re-register in fact... But I have a question for anyone who has any insight. I have a Summa T750 (tangetial) cutter - 30 inches... I need something wider with a precise system for contour cutting printed graphics- ie. Summa's OPUS or other method. Mimaki apparently has a similar system this built into their higher end cutters and is cheaper than a comparable Summa. BUT Miamki has a terrible web site, can;t find any reviews on them and that makes me a little nervous... From what I'm told, they are great cutters. But I'd like to have a little more than just "someone says". Anyone else with any Mimaki experience? The Mimaki is also not tangential... not sure if that's a big difference or not. Thanks all!

Hi Mike, I have had a Mimaki CG-6 plotter for about 6 years now. I did have some problems while it was still under warranty but Mimaki took care of the problem. They put another head on my plotter and that made it a CG-61.I believe the company's headquaters is in Myrtle Beach,NC. ICS I believe is the name of the distributor. I found this website in Duluth,GA that might answer some of your questions. http://www.mimakiusa.com/products/products.htm
I did have to replace the motherboard but it hasn't given me any problems since. Good Luck! Judy
