Faye,

I've been told by the SPCA that you're pretty mean to those squirrels in your yard.

I mean, putting those peanuts in those cans of Bud and giving them a straw is cruel! You should be ashamed of yourself girl!!

These are great! You guys eat some pretty weird stuff.

The only way I can eat Spinach (if it's not in my famous Ox Snot Dip- see below) is boiled, drained and served hot smoothered with Ketchup. That seems to gross the inlaws out here, but they eat those Peanut Butter, Mayo, Lettuce and Dill Pickle sandwhiches, SO!!!

Ox Snot Dip

1 Box of Frozen Chopped Spinach (thawed & drained of all water)
Med/Lg Tub of Sour Cream
Same amount of Mayo
1 Packet of Vegie Soup Mix (Knorr's)
1 Tablespooon of Minced Garlic (or more if ya like it)

Mix well and let sit in covered bowl in the fridge for at least 2-3 hours.

Stir it up real good and serve with Sour Dough bread chunks cut from the round loaves... or if you're really greedy smear a liberal dose on a slice of Fresh Sour Dough and go hide from the kids!

The don't even ask about that damn cookbook side of the Moon

I find this post very very dis-tasteful!

Our missionary we support just returned from africa. He sat a mealtime and drank the traditional "african gatorade"

Blood, urine and milk from a cow. Shaken, not stirred. Drank at room temporature from a gord.
Flies optional.

Half our congregation nearly hurled when this slide popped up on the screen.

Bleeech!

BTW, G. was your wife changing the oil in the car while you were getting those groceries? (Just Kiddin) I get them sometimes too.

Every morning, peanut butter on toast with every bite dipped into my orange juice. It doesn't seem gross to me but everyone else seems to think it is. Try it, you'll like it!

Yuck! Y'all are weird! Just kidding, but man, that is some strange stuff. I'm just too picky to begin with so I've never really experimented with different stuff. I must say that when I was a kid I did drink Nehi Orange or Coca-Cola with peanuts. It's the best! Now that's not weird is it?

My dad used to eat peanut butter with his pinto beans and a friend's wife eats Wendy's french fries dipped in a Wendy's Frosty (chocolate ice cream). She swears by it, I get grossed out.

This is a bit off topic, but my nearly two year old daughter Amelia (apple of her Daddy's eye; who is really starting to talk up a storm) has developed a problem with car sickness -- so we've taken to keeping a bucket handy (even for short trips). After a recent bout, she looked at what she had just hurled into the bucket, pointed and said "Dinner!".

Pickled pigs feet, hog head cheese, raw oysters, bleau cheese, or sea spiders. Sea spiders are shrimp left overs. When you peel fresh shrimp and pull the legs out of the head with some of the fat and insides you don't throw them away in Louisiana. You dredge, dip in flour and fry. They are crispy and delicious!

I used to always eat a bowl of rice crispies and milk with easy cheese (spray can of cheese) all over it. Also used to put lots of mayonaise along with my spaghetti and sauce.

Tas, I'm with you. I live in PA, I hunt and I don't have a clue where Joe got that eat the heart idea. I've never ever ever heard that.

My thing when I'm sick is to make myself a cup of tea (actaully it's more like sugar water with a hint of tea flavoring, I need at least 5 teaspoons of sugar per cup). I drink this cup (completely by spoon of course) then make a second cup. I get out the saltines and dip them into the tea. yummy!

I've also had ketchup on saltines (my mom hated that).

A normal site in my house... I get a big chunk of longhorn (or sharp cheddar) cheese and a big sweet pickle, one in each hand and take alternating bites.

My absolute favorite: Get a big bowl of chocolate ice cream topped with chocolate syrup, add in a couple handfuls of bar-b-que potato chips, mush it all up and stir it around. Then, get a potato chip and dip out part of the mixture with the chip (like dip). Regular potato chips and pretzels also work, but bar-b-que are the best.

My brother used to eat/drink two disgusting things.

1. raw Quaker oatmeal mixed in a cup with milk

2. Pepsi and milk (50/50 mix)

Both were disgusting and made me sick for days when I tried them!

BTW, what's the deal with peanuts and soda? I've never heard of that? What effects do the peanuts have on the soda?

I can't believe no one's mentioned PORK RINDS!!!
Not that it's wierd or anything...but,if and when I open a fresh bag in a closed car.....everyone's grossed out!!!

The Mexicans around here eat them with hot sauce on them.(Chicharrones con salsa)

Oh, and buttermilk, I love drinking it right outta the carton!! Grosses Jim out...but he grosses me out when he makes his favorite: banana and mayonaise sandwiches! eeewwww!

I also love liverwurst and miracle whip sandwiches or bologna on white bread with mayo, lettuce, yellow mustard and fritos corn chips, smash it down real good with the palm of your hand and enjoy!!

I also like sushi

I have heard of what Joe said about the deer hearts. Around here they make them drink the deer's blood. Sounds very unhealthy doesn't it? Also if a hunter misses a deer they cut his shirt tail off.

Hi Glenn:

Mine is Vanilla Ice Cream, Spanish Peanuts and Hershey's Syrup. My wife too balked at it. But now I can't have a bowl without her mooching bites.

I love peanuts as much as the next person. But I'm not to sure if I'm ready to drop any into a Pepsi (in my case, Coke).

well chris...the reason ya never heard of it is cause your "city folk", i was out in the country, the closest place to buy milk, beer, sugar(theres most of your problem, stuff rots your brain)was 18 miles in any direction. i went to school from 7 am till 4:30 pm, most of that was spent ridin a bus 40 miles a day...and where i lived at deer season was for the "city folk", most of my neigbors had fresh deer meat year round.

I like maple syrup on my scrambled eggs, pickled herring (hey, I'm from Minnesota, yabetcha!), fried spam & velveeta sandwiches, smoked oysters right outta the can, eggnog in my coffee, sauerkraut on pizza... and my mom makes the BEST fried liver and onions anywhere!

For those that like the fries dipped in chocolate shakes... try chocolate covered potato chips!! TO DIE FOR!!!

Adrienne... you make 'em like that and I will come and eat liverwurst sammiches with you anyday!!

My exhusband would cook up deer and beef heart... sliced real thin and fried. I didn't want ANYTHING to do with it until it was done and on a plate. Then I was ok with eating it.

I had a friend that put tabasco sauce on popcorn.

OK Glenn- here goes:
*Braunschweiger (SP?) on Town Talk bread, with mayo & sweet pickles, smashed flat
*Peanut butter & bananas on Town Talk bread, smashed flat
*Grape jelly on fried-hard eggs
*Chicken livers cooked in creamy brown pan-gravy
*Scrapple with maple syrup
*Faye's barfaroni or hominy-n-kielbassi, take yer pick, they're both real nasty
*My other sis, Connie, makes mac-n-cheese then dumps in a can of tomato soup & calls it "ooey-gooey"
*my mom, who grew up in the Depression, can make a sandwich outta just about anything (on Town Talk bread, smashed flat) She is also a HUGE fan of Spam!
*My Pap loved head cheese, liver pudding, blood pudding, etc., and he used to LICK the ketchup bottle rim after pouring. He would also eat polka-dotted black bananas Mom sent over cuz us kids wouldn't touch 'em.
Well, TTFN, gotta go cough up my cookies, hurl, barf, pray to the porcelain god, etc...
Love- JILL
