I just received this note form Nita and I thought I would share it with you.
"John had a heart attack on 2/2/02. I had to call 911. His heart stopped in the emergency room, had to have CPR and was defibrillated. They're calling him "The Wonder Boy." He's at Grossmont Hospital, holding his own and going pretty good. I just thought I'd let you know. Will keep you posted.

John, I feel for anyone facing their mortality. None of us are getting out of here alive, but I don't know you nearly well enough yet to let you off the hook that easy. You're just going to have to get back here and fix that. Best wishes to find you back soon!

John hang in there!! A heart attack isn't the end of the world!!!! Had one 9/15/00 while at the Micro Meet...and I am still around!
Do what the doctors tell you and a year from now you will be laughing about it! Only problem is that the will tell you "If it tastes good, spit it out!"
Don't try to be "Macho" ... take your time during recovery ... and everything will be OK!
