I see an awful blowout coming, an absoultely embarrasing day for Belichek, Brady & Co... But then I remember, that's what I thought would happen last week against the Steelers. Did you notice, during that game, that the TV announcers kept talking about Kordell Stewart and the Steelers, all through that game, AS IF THEY WERE WINNING? The Rams just might go into this game totally overconfident, or Warner might take a hard shot to those sore ribs, or maybe there's just more heart and guts and magic in this outclassed, overmatched, underappreciated Patriots squad than anyone realizes. So I have two predictions. Head: Rams 38, Patriots 10. Heart: Patriots 27, Rams 24. In overtime.

I just noticed something about Steve's picture - he looks EXACTLY like Bob Rochon! And they're BOTH from Massachusetts! Come to think of it, has anyone ever seen Steve and Bob in the same place...at the same time?

One thing about the Rams that is seldom discussed, AND a point that I feel has a tremendous bearing on my own support and general feelings about the team...............the "Embraceable Ewes"!!!

The other thing you have in common is the bowtie and no nose. So you're telling us that having a round yellow head with no nose is a Massachusets thing. I can see it now. The Native Noseless Yellow Bowl Head Tribe is applying for Federal recognition, and will be opening a casino in Worcester any minute now. All Tribal members get to wear bowties and and that silly grin. Cool! Where do I sign up?
And what's with the pronunciation thing? If Worcester sounds like "Wusstah", why doesn't Dorchester sound like "Dusstah?" See! There's all sorts of weird stuff like that in Massachusetts, and as soon as I think them up I'll let you know.

It's official, the heart wins! Crazy game. Thought the Pats were going to blow it at the end, but we owned the Rams. About damn time!
Oh Cam, you said: If Worcester sounds like "Wusstah", why doesn't Dorchester sound like "Dusstah?" ... Out here on the Cape is Eastham, pronounced "East-Ham" but a Chatham that is pronounced "Chattam". It's like they couldn't remember which way the rule went so they winged it differently each time, maybe with a coin toss or something. Could somebody explain to me why Peabody, the home of Mass Mayhem is pronounced "Pbdee"?

Confusing spelling and pronunciations dept:
My shop is located in Pawcatuck (PAW-cah-tuck) in Connecticut. Every so often a UPS package will take a detour through Pawtucket (p'TUCKit) Rhode Island. I've learned to very carefully spell out the name of my town and insist that the order taker read it back, including the state and ZIP code. There is apparently a Broad Street in p'TUCKit, though I've never actually gone and looked (I'm told it's a not very wholesome neighborhood), and somewhere there is a package for me that vanished back in 1991. Oh well.
