Last years event was a one day deal. Ken and Brian did a wonderful job. With the extension to two days I sure we will have twice as much fun. I urge anyone on the east coast and anyone willing to travel to get to Mass Mayhem 2. These things tend to get better and better every year. Come on down, over or up. Throw some paint, stick some vinyl, meet new friends.

You didn't mention the great food Ken! Brian's Dad owns a deli don't ya know. Killer wings, sandwiches, chowder, chili and salads. Work on having a sound system so we can blast out the now mastered Songpainter CD in the background. I'll definitely be there. Keep us posted as May 4th & 5th approaches.

And Joe you gotta come, and I hope bring Dick. I also want to make it clear that ALL are welcome, last year we had 10 people that had never been to a meet, we want more! If you are a 20 year veteran or never picked up a brush, we want you to come! see ya all there!!! -Ken

Ken, If AJ comes you should put some plastic on the floor where he sets up his stuff - he sometimes can be messy with paint in his hands. hehehehehehehe Karen
What exactly should a person expect if they make the meet? I'm gonna try to make this one, have to wait a littlt longer and see if I can or not though.

If you do attend this meet, I think you will definitely enjoy yourself and I know if AJ and Karen are there your sure to see alot of neat stuff and I know that ChiselinJoe can teach you a thing or two also. I have seen all three of these people in acation and am sure that there will be a few of the greats from the northeast there to show you a thing or two. I know for sure now that I will atend this thing after seeing this abbreviated list of attendees. Besides I have to make a panel for Rob. Also I have to work on my "Fred's Bar and Grill" signs, right AJ?
Now all we need is THE BRUSH and East Coast Artie, and some of the guys that were at Sulpys, Maybe if were lucky UnklIan will make an appearance too.

Hey Heads! We are stil in the planning stages for most of this thing, but we are sure to have some people pinstriping, airbrushing, and carving. Chris if you want to learn a little bit and have a little bit of fun, you are coming to the right place, just a conversation with an old pro will get your juices flowing, then pick up a brush and watch what happens. Karen the hotrods will be there to stripe and to gauk at, your choice. What we did last year was let the car owner check out the panels and talk to the artist and ask them to stripe the car. This year we are going to make sure the car owners pay the cover charge, too. Also, Howie at Zimmern sign supply is a major backer, if we can letter his truck this year that would be nice.

Hey Chris, With the heads that already are commited to this meet, you can be assured that whatever YOUR expectations are, they will be exceeded. AND, you better get your smile muscles in shape cause they are gonna be real sore when this is over. Also, if I can help ease your trip, you can crash at my place in northwestern CT, Now that the kids are gone, my wife and I have plenty of room and love company. We could also visit GHI Sign Service, Phil Ghi runs a top notch shop that has most of the bells and whistles. Looking foward to meeting you in person! Makin Chips and Havin Fun! Joe

Ken, this is gonna be GREAT!!! I was among the 10 who made "Mass Mayhem I" their first Letterhead meet. It was spectacular. I mostly observed, watching blank panels turn into great works of pinstiping art(Robin, Spider, Jay Z, etc.), learning from Bob Rochon the secrets behind glass gilding(beautiful job!), and getting involved in Cam Bortz's hands-on demo of gilding Gemini plastic letters(so cool). I got to meet and talk with some of the "Greats of the Northeast". And all this in ONE DAY!!! And after reading here the names of those planning to come to #2, hearing that it is gonna be a two-day event, I am just so psyched for it.
Hey, Joe Reese. Bring your guitar this time. I'll bring my congas and some percussion toys and we can have some music fun, too. If anyone else plays, bring what you got.
BTW, Ken, will DaggerRat be there?

This is going to be a whole bunch o' fun, Artie has signed on as offical Chef, The hotrodders are already geared up, Howie at Zimmern Sign Supply has commited supplies again and Vic from Anchor blanks is going to send up some custom panels. I will be posting a mailing adress for checks this week and then we can start registering guests. For everyone who needs hotel and driving info, email me and I will send a reply. Karen, I did see in your post if YOU were planning on coming? Alan are you in touch with Glen W. or Mr. J? I am going to try to get Jim Garbelley and some of his students at Butera to come.

Spud -"I'll bring my congas and some percussion toys and we can have some music fun, too. If anyone else plays, bring what you got".
Ah Geez, there it is. I was hoping I could sneak in under this music thing. After hearing SongPainter, you are going to have elevated expectations of what I am capable of live. But I'll tell you what, I'm working on a live sound rig with the necessary mixers, mics, amps and processors to make me sound presentable out of the studio. By May I should be able to get it together.
Not that I want to spend the whole day playing, I want to mingle too. So I'll work on a 'set' of an hour or so of prepared things we can do and get it over with. Here's a thought - I've often entertained the idea of a full percussion setup being available to a general audience to beat out a rythm with a recorded backing band. "Percushioki" if you will. Bring as many shakers, tamborines, timbales and whatnot as you can muster Spid, and we'll see who has any rythm. That could be big fun or total disaster, but interesting in any event. And any other musicians who want to pipe in are welcome. Guitar or bass players, harmonica blowers, mad whistlers, help us out.
