To buy or not to buy? Corel addicts here it is the real truth on the recently released, but late Corel 10. http://www.unleash.com/rick/december00.html I know that this should be posted under software but since the operating system for some of us is Corel and their recent path was or is undetermined I thought this should be for the masses to read as it seems very important. Ken.

Thanks Ken, being an avid Corel user since ver.1 (12 years ago) I've tried to keep up with the happenings at Corel. The new ver.10 as all prior versions (of any software) will have it's share of glitches. Corel has been making big improvements over the past couple years in resolving most problems with release patches. Have 10 on order and should be able to provide some hands-on experience in a few weeks. Quite satisfied with Draw 9 now but am interested in some of the advanced features of Paint 10, we use Paint as much or more than Draw in our digital photography work.

Larry, I just started using CoCut and put Roland's software in the trash. If you like Corel than you will enjoy cutting with CoCut without having all the hassles of exporting files, converting and wasting time and product. Ken.

heheheheh Ken...I don't know if you have ever actually cut directly from Corel to a Roland cutter. But the whole point is that there is NO exporting of files, NO converting to other formats and NO waste of time and material.
I would really enjoy having you explain how you came up with that notion!!!!!

Dave, I wish you were around when I purchased my Roland plotter and software. I had not discovered Letterheads and your great advice on how to cut directly from Corel. My salesperson told me that Rolands software would work very well with Core(not) I can now testify that the .com's sell everything and support none. Oh yes, you can cut directly from Corel but CoCut has some additional features that were worth the small amount it cost. Also I have forwarded your advice on how to cut from Corel to many others, Kudos to you Regards, Ken.
