this main street group shows up here to rejuvinate the city's historic buildings and store fronts. 180 strong backed by the department of interior and 15.2 billion bucks in their national war chest, they have a vested interest in the "POTENTIAL". this is an opportunity for their leadership to show a philosophy; something which has been disordered or missing in business today. if ya'll have a staff of true sign experts and include the "talents" of the dogs , the goal should benefit all those whose business "it is". is".

The only way Perkins Oklahoma will ever see 15.2 billion dollars will be when the armored car passes thru town headed for texas with all the enron money aboard.
This seems like a safe little OT post...what 'll you bet it turns into a "wooleybooger" before it's thru?

So, I assume you're saying that Main Street USA, the revitalization group, is coming to Perkins with their own band of crappy sign people?
I dunno, that's all I can gather from your post.. doesnt seem like a complete thought, not to forget your tagline says yer from Boston so why worry about what's going on in Perkins, OK?

what is business to you?... like jazz music signwriting is true art form that can't be harnessed. when one creates a concept vs creating a clone or facimile, the difference being one is alive. i never claimed to be a good business, i just like good art when it happens.
how much can one say in a few words?

Main Street USA publishes a book on the revitalization of "Old Towns". When I read the book, it felt like the book had been written about our town. It seems that small town attitudes are much the same everywhere. For instance, the small businessman who complains to the town about the lack of parking and then insists on parking in front of his own business.
I thought the information provided was positive and helpful. Vic G

AS FOR THE OFFICIATING.. I AM ASSUMING YOUR WRITING ABOUT LAST WEEKS GAME ... INTENT VS INTENT, DECISIVENESS VS DECISIVENESS. DO YOU THINK THAT PASS RUSH S.O.B. ZERO-ING ON THE PASSER WAS GOING TO SIDE STEP HIM IF PASSER WAS STILL IN A WIND... BESIDES RESPECT FOR OFFICIATING IS PART OF THE GAME

Let's start again, Who are these 180 people? When are they going to Perkins? Are we invited? How come the business people in Perkins know nothing of this? And what does football have to do with it?
I checked the website for The National Trust for Historic Preservation, nothing about Perkins,OK. there.
Just tell us what's going on. I would love to be in on this project (there is a project? right?)

James, I don't mean for this to sound like I'm flaming you, but would you please write as if the rest of us don't know where you are coming from. Also, writing in complete sentences and thoughts would be helpful so that we can understand what you are trying to convey.

coop, my friend susan from hohoka city mailed me a newspaper clipping with a story about the city of perkins and this small boom going on there. i dontit have on hand right now but i believed she clipped it from the daily oklahoman newspaper. this intrigued first because of the same name sake... anyways the article contained some of this info. its probably 2 weeks back . i dont know who these 180 people are, except that half are in the city probably along with his honor and the other half are outside the city. there job probably is to get corporate buddies to pledge there sponsorship for the capital base , something like $10,000 for 4 years. right on down the line other contributors will be solicited; eg. the allied sponsor can sign up for the program for like $500; that could be people such as yourself. of course volunteers are sought out. i don't think voluteering is a good way to do business, but you should no that this a tax exempt, non-profit organization. sometimes its best to leave well enough alone instead of the heroes showing up to save the day. i guess it all economic leverage.
