Howdy, seeking someone with a Roland PC-12 print and cut vinyl system. I make vinyl webcards for realtors, and other businesses.
Its basically recreating their business card onto vinyl with outdoor life. Realtors use them on property screen doors, mailboxes, vehicles, or anywhere.
Please e-mail with pricing on spot colors by color, and a price for 4-color process. Include minimum purchases, artwork fees (one-time, scan and layout), and artwork file requirements if I do the scanning. NO ARTWORK MODIFICATION IS OFFERED!
I'm selling them from my new website, and would like pricing as soon as possible, any questions contact me at lmldist@hotmail.com

Perhaps I should provide some clarification on this project.
I need the cards printed and cut out, but not masked.
I can scan the artwork in Corel 8, but have been told by EDGE runners that the blends are murder to convert.
Also, I think all of the edge owners are still attempting to recoup the 30k+ price tag of their machine from me, so I'd like to see prices from a lower cost piece of equipment.
For an Idea of what I've got from an edge wholesaler:
Vinyl per foot(lin) 3.00 Spot Color Foils 3.00 per fiol
Four Color Process Foils 12/sqft + Vinyl or total of $15/sqft.
Basically, two spot colors on white vinyl would cost $9/sqft.
I can fit 15 cards in each square foot, 5 rows by 3 columns, making them .60 each.
The kicker is no artwork scanning fee, and a minimum of only 3 linear feet!
Is this guy crazy? Honestly. I get some other vinyl wholesale from him, and cant believe the costs are so low.

FYI : It's not the cost of the machine but the cost of production that matters.
Try Gregory or Graphtec of Vermont, they do wholesale digital printing.

An Edge owner can produce and sell Edge-produced jobs at what it cost a to do the same job on any ColorCamm and still enjoy a 100% markup (and then some).
At the price he quoted you, which is a true wholesale price, he is still able to net about 25% profit.
That is why I've always maintained that I can't afford a ColorCamm, but I can certainly afford an Edge.
As for getting a decent gradient, there are some technical things a good Edge operator will know. If there is a problem, you first need to find a competent Edge owner and then understand basic printing principles when you design/build a file.
