Hello,
I'm sure this subject has been discussed but we are new to Letterville so please "bear" with the redundancy: Do we have any sign estimating software options that can interface with Quickbooks? I would greatly appreciate your opinion if you have researched or currently use a particular package. Thanks much, rick boyle

For estimating purposes and interfacing with QB, a two thumbs up for Estimate!

Check there site out and download a free demo. Do a search on this board for “estimate” or “pricing software” and read the rave reviews of this Letterville merchant.

Welcome to Letterville!

i agree with bob.
i do not own it but i did test drive a demo and found it to be impressive software.
when i do get ready to buy an estimating software, this will be the one.

it is worth the trip to mark smith's website just to download the free job timer. (cool)

i am using the free job timer today as a matter of fact, i am about to leave the shop to change telephone numbers and add web adresses to a fleet of trucks. when i leave the shop i set the job timer at my hourly shop rate, when i return it will give me the time taken as well as tabulate the price per hour for my efforts.

I have used Estimate and like it alot. Late last year we changed to Cyrious SMS Pro. Cyrious is a better fit for our type of business. Estimate is a lot more flexible and easy to use. The subjectivity of Estimate is unmatched.

That said Cyrious has some advantages. We process at least forty small oders every day. The ability to time and track jobs gives Cyrious the edge. Cyrious is a time consuming setup. I had Estimate setup in one week. We installed the network and Cyrious the first week of October. As of this date we are still perfecting it.

Cyrious is expensive. First computer $ 2850.00. Each donglee for the network is $ 500.00. Support is great and free for the first 90 days. After that support is going to run $ 600.00 per year.

I have tried to sell my copy of Estimate since November. It is the full version with all modules. I have (1) extra license for a total of (2) computers. I have been asking $ 550.00 for the package. I paid $ 1100.00 in Jan 2001. Mark saw my post to sell it. We discussed it and he said he would fully support it. I had one guy offer $ 100.00. No way I'll keep it for that. I still have it and would be happy to sell it if anybody is interested.

I love EstiMate. It saves me a ton of time.

Jim is offering a great deal. I'd go for it.

Estimate should make you back that $550 in no time

I rely on Estimate too much but it works great what can I say.
