Some weeks ago I posted a plea for help with my HP scanner and new Dell computer. As usual, you all answered quickly with suggestions, and a request to let you know how things turned out.

Well, I tried all of your suggestions and the problem would not go away. HP sent me new drivers and pages of fix-it notes. Still, no solution. Dell was very helpful in trying to solve the dilema, both on-line and in person (on the phone). They have come to the conclusion that there is a corrupt file somewhere in the system and a technican is coming to the studio Wednesday to install a new hard drive.

After several months I may actually be able to use my new equipment. Everything else works fine - just the scanner would not place an image in any of my software.

I must put in a good word for Dell. They have been extremely nice and have tried repeatidly to solve the problem. Maybe this tech guy will be able to get me up and running.

Stay tuned for additional future segments.

I agree with Mark. Dell has been very good, especially in the service area.
