Its not that my eyes are getting bad... it's just the light just about everywhere isn't as bright as it used to be. (must be those new fangled light bulbs) And they don't print things as clearly as they used to in the old days (must be the paper they make nowadays). Even the computer screen isn't as clear as it used to be. (I think the focus control is busted or something)
Anyway, I was at my (much younger) brother's place over the weekend and he lent me his focussing and add light devices (reading glasses) I could see quite a difference.
So today I broke down today and went to get a pair of my very own.
Did you know that with these things I can see individual pixels on my screen? WOW!
I guess there isn't any shame in it. I did turn 48 last week. And my optomitrist tells me that as I begin to start approaching middle age these things will start to happen.

There is absolutely NO way that you can be 47. Sorry, I just won't believe. You can not be older than me. There must have been a slip up on your keyboard and they transposed the 4 and the 2.
Have a great one!

Don't feel bad Dan. I just turned 45, and up until six months ago, I could see for miles. Now, I need glasses to do that. Don't need them for close up stuff, but faraway stuff is a blur.
