I have used Ameribans spring steel "clips" to hold aluminum sign blanks in place in "site sign" h-frames or "real estate" h-frames. I know that I could also use stainless steal screws or wingnuts.
I have noticed that the spring steel clips rust pretty quickly (especially here in Michigan) and rust marks drip down the face of the sign...making for a nasty looking sign. I haven't had complaints from my predominantly home builder clientele for these signs...but I am not happy with the way they look.
My question: Is there such a thing on the market as a "stainless steel" spring clip like the ones I'm using, or should I just use the SS screws as I am thinking of doing?
I like the clip idea because you just "pop" them on and they seem to hold.....but maybe drilling holes in the sign blank and using the SS screws is a more professional way of doing it. Thanks for you input.

Personally, I prefer the screws. But, I just use the standard zinc coated one. Most real estate signs around here might last 18 months before they are lost, stolen or damaged. So, I don't worry about them too much. Neither do my clients.
maybe I'll go at it that way then....I had to change the phone numbers on several site signs for one of my clients, and when he dropped them off....they all had yellowish brown rust streaks down the aluminum signs from the rusty "clips". I sprayed them with Simple Green and the streaks rubbed right off nicely...
I think the screws would be the answer then.

GEEZ... I hate those thumb-busting clips! They do rust fast and when your contractor throws them into his truck for the next site those clips grab eveything and scratch everything. One other thing I have experienced is that if your contractor mounts the sign in a windy location, the panel can blow out of the frame if you are only using these clips. Just turn the sign around if you can be sure of the constant wind direction. OR...
Use bolts! A little more labor but no clip problems at all.
