Hi All,
This is my first shot at asking a question. Here goes:

I have Vinyl Express Master 6.6VE1. I'm operating on Windows ME...will soon be going back to 98 second edition.

My software will suddenly stall...of course right after I just created the coolest thing to my design

I don't have a virus...I have 15g HD with only 6g used...Maxed out on ram...any suggestions?

This gets really frustrating

Thanks for any help you can offer,
hugs,
Dee

Hi Dee... welcome to the board! You may get more outta this place than you ever expected... just ask me how I know!!

I have Vinyl Express Master 5.7 - but I have Windows 98. We tried a newer Windows version... but went back to the old one. Too many problems.

Hi Dee,
I have VMP but ran Windows 2000 when I first bought the pc. What a 'nightmare!' I now use '95 with '98 upgrade.....no more probs.

I have VE 6.5 and it is forever locking up and it changes my preferences all by itself. I still can't get rounded corners on outlines it always clips them. The only answer tech support can give me is to clear my preferences which makes me really unhappy because I have to set everything the way I like it again. I am using Win98SE.

I started using CorelDraw for almost all layout.

VMP is Vinyl Master Pro.....not the same thing as Vinyl Express...I've had VE5.7 about 4 yrs now and the best use i can find for it is as a toilet brush...yes you can call tech support and to their credit i've had them call me back as blindingly fast as 3-4 days later. I try to use it to cut only, although there are a few things that you can do with it no matter how much you hate it that are simply faster to do than using corel, but other than that i've had all the problems Amy described and more

i keep telling people to get removable hard drive setups. this way you can have one hard drive with all the latest greatest OS's and fun stuff on it and another hard drive that you work from. and ive said this before that win 95B or C on a hard drive and by installing IE 4.0 to it you get a win 98 desktop and look but will still run most of the older and simpler sign programs with no problems. this way when you are working you got a rock solid, tried and true OS to get your work done. as for win ME...dont own it, dont want it, and if you got on a cd, go play frizby with it or drill a hole in and hang it from your car mirror.
98 se is very stable...but still has some goofy stuff going on with it now and then.
