I have several old reference books that mention a couple of processes to gold plate or gild glass with a gold chloride solution. Does anyone know if this is similar to the Angel Gild process? I would be glad to share the specific recipes

Otto!!! John Oldham and I were just talking about you today. Of course, it can't be repeated here, but at least you were talked about.
I don't know if what you are talking about is the same method as Angel Gild, but you might contact Esoteric and speak with them - if anybody knows, it would be Rick Glawson. 310-549-6622
It's good to see you posting here on the BB.
If the rest of you have never heard of Otto Carter, he just happens to be one of the best signmen in the country and a top notch fine artist. We both learned our lettering skills from the same person - the late Ellison Edwards in Abilene, Texas. A fine gentleman.
