Have you ever wanted to letter up a van with the Publishers Clearing House stuff, and just go drive around your town. Maybe stop momentarily in front of friends houses etc. Maybe take a video camera and record peoples reactions?.... and please don't bombard me about 'trademark'schtuff. This is only for discusion purposes.

NO, but I've thought of renting a Crown Victoria for a trip & putting ( MARSHAL'S DEPT. ) on the side & rear & then drive about 90mph oh & a antenna also. LOL.. but why should I, when I drive 90mph anyway & I have never got a ticket speeding but I was a cop for many years & still have my certification. It helps.

It's fun to make magnetic bumper stickers and put them on friend's cars without their knowledge. If they're a fan of a certain sports team, put something negative on their car. Or put a for sale sign on a friend's car while he's parked at work with his cell number on it.

I've got a friend that's a welder, you know the real outdoors type, well last year I put a bumper sticker on the back of his truck that read "HONK IF YOUR GAY!" with a peace sign, lets say he didn't live that one down for a while...he swore he would someday weld my car doors shut for me! hasn't happen yet. LOL

SICKOS!!!

That sounds like a blast. I had a friend who owned a funeral home. He would come over for coffee or to hunt on our property and I would try to "blackmail" him into letting me use his hearse or no more coffee! I just wanted to visit a few friends in it and watch the neighbors come running over. Often wondered how long it would take for thier phone to start ringing.

Have a friend who just turned 60. I lettered my sister's white van using static cling as a substrate with "Council on the Aging" We met him for a beer and drove him to lunch and a surprise party in it.

The reader's digest thing........I DARE YA!
C'mon somebody else double dog dare him!

Stirring the pot,
Kathy

I did magnetic signs for a bail bondsman
one time which read: "TAXI". Seems he did
his own arrests for jumping bail and the
TAXI signs were to deceive the fugitive. He
even had the little lighted sign on the roof.

Shawn- I did the same thing to a friend of mine who lived on an Air Force base, only the magnetic I put on his car read: "GAY- AND PROUD"

He drove around for 3 days before he found it. Then, you had to inspect your car all the time, because it kept showing up all over the place.

Around the L.A. area here we have an ENORMOUS influx of Asians. I don't know if it's got anything to do with ethnicity or if they all just came from a rural area where none of them have ever seen a car before, or anything with wheels on it, but THEY CAN'T DRIVE!
Their crazy road antics provide us with a lot of (hair raising) laughs and also skyrockets insurance rates here because of all the crashes.
They have their own driving schools.
A friend of mine (caucasian) drives an old rusty Model T Ford, full of dents and bullet holes and I copied an Oriental Driving School sign on magnetic using the ideograms and put it on the passenger side of his car, where it took 3 weeks for him to find. The only reason he ever looked at that side of the car was all the Chinese people waving at him and laughing - I have no idea what the signs really said.

kathy, I have a customer and good friend here that is a funeral director. She just finished school and buoght a local funeral home. For the previous twenty years she was the secretary for her husband at his autobody shop. Yeah, you guessed it, she's caught herself three times answering the phone at the funeral home..........
"goodwin's body shop"!!!! fortunately all of the calls were from friends.

Stephan, the man was into rabbit hunting big time. Coffins, he was willing to put me in as he always said as a good friend he would be the last one to let us down! I out-lived him. My coffe will wake the dead. Works fer me every morning.

Fun that only letterheads can have.......I love to invent my own brand names for products I paint high up on walls or wherever, brands like the lawn mower with "****box" as it's badge , or the bottle of wine with "horse **** claret" as it's label. Totally undetectable to the casual viewer (or client) but I & close freinds or associates know it's there. eh eh love it.

How 'bout the time I was writing a take away food store to read: "Hot Golden Rotisserie Chickens" The client was a difficult S.O.B. so I got as far as "Hot Golden Rot....." and left for lunch, eh eh gotcha!

By the way , what the hell is this "publishers clearing house" thing?

years ago i made a magnetic sign that said, "Honk and Wave! I don't know i am wearing this sign!"

early the next morning i put it on the back of my wife's explorer, she left the house before i did.
i got in my truck after she left and was chuckling while driving to the shop thinking people would be honking their horns and waving at her.
heeheehee

i got to the shop and after i opened, i ran downtown to look at a sign job.

i pulled up to a red light and a car full of women pulled up beside me laughing and blowing the horn and waving!

i thought to myself, who in the hell are those people??

as i drove on i said to myself, "wait a minute!!!"
i pulled over and my wife had taken it off of her vehicle and stuck it on the tailgate of my truck!!!LOL

I have a pinstriping buddy who plastered his house with first alert alarm signs he made with his edge printer. I asked him was the alarm system expensive? it was then he let me in on his little secret! hahaha when I went to visit him he pulled another trick on me, he picked me up and we talked about old times as we traveled through unknown area's on our way to his house ( where I hadn't been before by the way) well after a little while he turns into this place with a huge circular driveway, and pulls up to this gorgeous brick place with stained glass windows white pillars and beautiful landscaping. I was awestruck! I said " Nice Place! man you're doing great! " he then pulled out his garage door opener and pushed the button....Nothing happened , then he shook it and pushed it again, once again nothing happened. it I said , "have you checked the batteries?" he just mummbled something about cheap piece of crap or something... then when I was gonna get out of the car he said " OH! wait a minute! this is my neighbors house!!!" Oh my Gawd! I still laugh about that today! hahahahaha we went to his real house and his wife saw us laughing and asked did he take you to our other house? hahaha yeah I said he got me good! I guess I wasn't his first victim!

here's an idea for all your colored scraps of vinyl, you can make all the "RAINBOW " stickers you want and place them on all your buddies vehicles!hehe

I did a set of mags for a friend of mine that she was going to give to her sister as a Birthday Gift.

It was a "Hair removal Salon"

She asked for one small favour!
Could I do up 2 4"x4" mags as well? Sure what would you like on them I asked.

She blushed and said how about a mans private parts and make it as hairy as possible with the wording under it saying "We'll remove it all!"

We both chuckled and I did them up at no extra cost...
After she got the mags and about 2 weeks later I saw her again and asked how everything went?

She told me her sister drove around town for a full week and never noticed the small mags on her car....
But she couldn't understand why people were pulling up to her and pointing and laughing!

I hate to hear what her sister did back to Her!
