My wife decided that I needed a new toy for christmas... it's an HP psc750 (printer, scanner, copier). Anyone have one? If so, what can you tell me about how you like it, how your scanner settings work best for you... anything like that.

So far, I like it, it looks like a big rubbermaid tub with a scanner on top. Still playing with it.

I have one too. I like it Ok. I just had it for a few months so far. The one drawback is that my old scanner I would access from within Casmate. This one appears not to be willing to work that way. If you hear differently let me know. I usually leave it set on color photo scans @ 300 dpi & I played with the brightness/contrast & other settings, but prefer to scan directly into (from) photoshop. I adjust levels, brightness/contrast, and color balance from there. For line art to be cut I can import into casmate to vectorize.

It is very handy to have the ability to run copies from books etc. something I couldn't do with my fax machine. I even copied a tattoo to reproduce for a surf board design.

DOUG,
yOU MAY OR MAY NOT BE AWARE THAT IN CASMATE, YOU HAVETHE CHOICE OF"DIRECT" OT "TWAIN' SCANNING. I'M PRETTY SURE YOUR SCANNER IS MOST LIKELY TWAIN COMPASTIBLE. IF SO, YOU CAN SHJANGE YOU "PREFERENCES" TO TWAIN FROM WITHIN CASMATE. IF YOU'RE ALREADY FAMILIARWITH THIS, YOU PROBABLY FOUND THAT THE "DIRECT"METHOD IN CASMATE BEATSTHEHELL OUT OF EVERYTHING ELSE!
