Rode by to check on my shop & see some snow For those who don't like Brush Script you have my permission not to use it on your sign Called Shawn lastnight told him it's going to snow let's take the day off. In Georgia people freak out when it snows things close & that's OK we can use another day off. So I'm sitting here in my office @ home watching the snow fall while typing this letter & driking coffee..LIFE IS GOOD,I'm enjoying it while I can you never know when it will be over

Hey Linda, I lived in Atlanta when I was a kid on PonceDeLeon Ave. & then in Dekalb county a couple mile from the airport & what was to be Six Flags. In fact in the mid sixties when they were building Six Flags we kids use to ride our bicycles there & watch the building of it there were no fences. When they built the railroad we use to play in the tree huts surrounding it. Pretty cool, that was a fun time in my childhood.I believe the school I went to was Riverside Elem. 3rd grade. Before there were PC's Hell I used a hammer & chisel & a stone palet for paper LOL

Sorry folks! A few inches does not EVEN qualify as snow. Up north here...we call that"flickin!" Jess a few flicks of snow.!!! Barnes Corners is located on the foothills of the Adirondack Mts...Directly east...inland a few miles from Lake Ontario...they got 89 inches of snow the last few days...in less than a week.

If I'm not mistaken 6 Flags is still tossin lunches, but not mine, hehehe.
An hour after I posted, above, the snow started sticking. It went sideways for awhile and then started fallin in flurries. Now it's just siftin along like it's got all the time in the world.
The road is slick lookin, and I am figgerin the whole town of Lawrenceville to be a sheet of ice in the am. Jenny is jazzed about about possibly not having to go to school.
Ya oughta stop by when you come back through yer stompin grounds, would love to have you visit! (Yes, you can tote Shawn along...hehehe!)
Looks like crunchy yards fer everybody! WooHoo!
Hay maybe we can build snowmen and take digi pics of em just for the fun of it and to see how creative we can be. We can fashion them to represent our locale...could be fun.

Been to Kroger twice already - beer, bread, hot chocolate mix, beer, bananas, popcorn, mashmallows, beer, chili fixins, milk, and beer. Second trip was for videos and some more beer.(don't want to run out of the necessities)
We're expecting as much as 4 inches here by tomorrow - don't laugh - EVERYTHING will be shut down tomorrow (except Kroger)

Sompn I learned in the mountains, Blizzard of 93, even. Getting to Kroger may not be an option, so stockin up on chili fixins and soup, etc. should be done before Christmas...up there, before Thanksgiving.
I'm not havin to go to Kroger fer nuttin. I'm watchin the snow build up out there and catchin weather reports. Looks like it might all be gone by tomorrow.
You northerners are right. The pidley amount of snow we've had would be a good day for you. Trust me though, these guys don't do it well. When it reached one-inch of snow, everything was shut down and school closings were listed...yesterday. Hubby came in last night from work and said the wrecked cars were everywhere.
The news folks got in this morning and were complainin on the air about how treacherous it was. The helicopter dude showed no more than half a dozen cars on the stretch of highway at a time...used to seeing a sea of tail lights heading into town.
I think 20mph was the top speed used. Hubby got to work and said only 2 people passed him.
I made him take a blanket and a jug of water though, in case somebody hit him. The police said, "If yer not near death, it could be hours before we get to you, as there are so many piling up." The sand/salt trucks have their work cut out for them, every ten minutes on the bridges and most secondary roads because of the freezing. Glad I don't work for them!
I think this is what I liked most about getting to stay home over the winter, getting to stay home over the winter hehehe!
