I've got new faces for an old backlit sign that is welded shut at one end of the cabinet. The acrylic face is buckleing a little and will not line up to shide into the last 1" of the box. Any suggestions? I usually can take of both ends and pull or shove, but this ones got me stuck.

Jerry, You didn't mention, but I will assume it is a pan face. If the panned sidewalls are not prying the channel you can trim the ears of the face a little on both sides. If the sidwalls are rubbing already, then you will have to enlarge the cabinet. Check to see if the faces are correctly sized and also the cabinet. This would be a pain as you would have to saw and add a piece on both sides of the cabinet. I would have a pieces heliarched or wirewelded in. Check to make sure the channel is clean and giving full slide first though... Jack If I read you correctly, your stuck...use a spray bottle of heavy-soapy wate and spray inside and out. Oil can make it worse and a forever mess....

Sounds to me like you need to trim one side of the face slightly and or as Jack suggested clean the channel if need be. The face won't fit in the other end if it's buckled out ,...so the top or bottom needs to be trimmed.
