I have an idea for a banner frame and I was wondering if anyone had ever done this before.
Banner prep
Place all graphics on banner. Hem a loop all of the way around the banner. Insert a one inch ABS pipe through the banner. than the banner.
Cut a slot in the total length of a 2 inch peice of ABS pipe of top, bottom and both sides. The slot has to be wide enough to slide the banner through but not the 1 inch pipe. It will be captured in the 2 inch pipe.
Cut a slot into 90 degree elbows to fit the banner in. Then fit the elbows on the corner and screw the elbows to the pipe.
Voila.
Why would I do this? Framing a sign or picture is as important as the sign or picture. It finishes it off.
With some 90 degree brackets it would be east to attach to the wall.
It is a reusable system.
Keeps the banner straight.
What do you think?? I am off to check the cost.

Hey Kevin - sounds cool - -please post photo if you make it. I seriously considered to quit selling banners; unless I do the installation myself. Last 5 or 6 banners I sold, customers wanted to self-install, needless to say, even after patiently explaining how to properly hang & tension vinyl banners, they all looked like crap after the first gentle wind. Say; what would be a fair price to hang 2 -3'x20', 18 oz. vinyl banners, on steel wall, 2 stories up, in the rain? Just curious as to what others would charge, I billed that job today. . . . .I will admit I did not charge e'nuff. . . . .Carl
