I have to do a job this week-end and the customer would like to match the font used on his other trucks. In the Letraset book it looks like the Pendry Script. Does anyone know where I can find it in a font library? I checked Myfonts.com they have it but I really didn't want to purchase it since it will be a one time thing I'm sure.

If I have to match a font that I don't have, then I put either the cost of the font or the cost to scan and digitize the needed letters into the cost of the job. I noticed the cost of one style of this font is only $19.95. That doesn't seem like too much for the customer to pay to have the exact font they want. It's certainly much less than most shops I know would charge to scan and digitize. Also, you end up having a nice font to use in future jobs.
This is one of the many things customers have come to expect for free, often because we are afraid to ask for the money. I'm not saying this is true in your case, Robert, but it has been in mine in the past. We need to educate our customers about how much work goes into making signs, even in something seemingly simple like finding a font. Consider how much labor time, or overtime, we spend just trying to find the right font. How much of that time do we get paid for?
Sorry for the long-winded reply...I need to hear this as well...
