I have a modified line of copy that I created in Flexi.and I want to import /Paste etc. to Corel 8
so that I can add the "Chrome effect"
Can anyone tell me the "Simple" way to do this..
I can get the "Line of Copy" in Corel.but when I try to Fill with "Chrome Effect" it fills background and letters as well......??????....How do I mask the background........or is this the way to accomplish this ?????
Thanks
Shep'

Hi Shep:

Is there a bounding box around the lettering? Or are the centers of the text being filled ... or both?

If it's a bounding box issue, ungroup the objects, delete the backgound element ... then select the text elements and apply your fill.

If it's the centers of your text, select the text, combine it (Ctrl-L), then apply your fill.

If it's none of the above, your "Chrome Effect" may be one of the "Bar" scripts. If so, apply the effect. Then Arrange>Separate it to remove the backgound element.

Regards,

Jim

Cut and paste is not that reliable between the two, you are better off exporting from Flexi as an .eps file and then importing into Corel as an eps INTERPRETED You may have to ungroup and recombine your text but not a big deal. Export back as an .eps and your good to go. The cut and paste tends to get screwy on keeping your image at the exact same size and alos tends to give you a whole lot of nodes.
