Well, I'm home from AC! My smile muscles are gonna be sore for a week. I met steve and barb on Fri morn and had a chance to thank them for all their efforts to keep Letterville up and running and for having the patience to put up with raw rookies like me. The Bull Pen was HOPPIN!!!!!!!AJ, Mike Fredric, Mr J, Paul Quin,DeWayne,Micky Harris,Karen Souza,Bill Reidel,Phil Ghi,Howie Nisgorand,and,and.....WHAT a talent pool!!! They did two bikes, a truck a van a car a golf cart and anything else that would stay still long enough . There were about 6 4x8's that teams worked on to demonstrate just about every sign technique out there...gilding,drop shadows, split shadows, outlines, bevels, air brush, dimensional elements...and that was on just one of them. They were all designed to be donated to the Covenant House (a program that helps kids at risk to keep off the streets). I got a few ideas for the Mars Project and enlisted a few more folks to help out. For anyone that missed out on the fun, mark your calendar for next years Sign World. Well, I have to order a pizza and start to catch up on my Xmas orders (I'm gonna be flat out for the next 4 weeks) Happy Holidays Everyone!!!! Makin Chips and Havin Fun!! Joe

Hi fiddles, My plan is to have diffrent carvers introduce and demonstrate one aspect of the trade and have folks do a little hands-on. If the presenter can stay with the area and help out for say two hours, that will allow all of us to participate in the rest of the meet. If this carver that you mentioned is comfortable presenting a technique or simple project, I can schedule him in. If he would be more comfortable just helping out, that would be great too. Keep in touch and any new ideas are welcome.
