Anyone here use the Rams milling software. Any pro or cons. Considering using it.

I've been using the full functioning demo version from their website and it has been a very easy learning curve to do most basic things. I haven't tried anything to complex yet but I've been impressed with its power and ease of use, and it generates good cutting instructions for my Shopbot (other post processors are included).
It does however have some warts!
The print function does not seem to work at all.
The function to move the geometry was removed to be inserted in a later version (this is an important function if you are importing the geometry from Corel!).
The material selection for the preview doesn't work.
The company seems to be generating new versions of the program on a fairly frequent basis, fixing some problems and introducing new ones. The new versions are available from their web page at no charge.
I ordered the fully licenced copy of the program two weeks ago and was told that I would have it this past week, but I'm still using the demo copy (
Aside from the warts it seems to get the job done easily and quickly and well.

Hi Guy!...And welcome to the BullBoard. I saw the first project you produced and if it is any indication your future projects are going to be great.

Four weeks after ordering and still no program. The demo has expired and they seem to work 9 - 5 and I have a day job so there's only the eMail tag thing to play to get ahold of them. If it wasn't for the working demo (now expired) I'd call it vaporware. As far as customer service goes they are a little lacking.
