Just tried Avery translucent vinyl for the first time after using only 3M & Arlon for years. It went down very smooth(using RapidTac of course) and felt a little thicker than I'm used to but lights up nice. I couldn't find a blue any lighter than Olympic in my usual brands, but found Avery's Light Baby Blue to be a nice shade.

Any experiences with Avery; good or bad. I'm interested in trying their other lines (HP & IP)

Alan..I use 90% Avery vinyl...Never had a problem with it. The other 10% is 3M and that is only for colors that are only available from 3M.

Hey Dave, what colors aren't available from Avery? They *only* have 90 colors in 2mil HP. Unless yer talkin about Pantone matches, in which case 3M takes care of that.

Been using Avery vinyl about 90% for the past two years and its second cousing, Sparcal, for about 5 years before that. Always been good for us.

However about two months ago our main supplier discontinued selling the A7 transluscent line. Says that they had observed difficulty with the consistancy of the colours...hot and cold spots when backlit. They still carry the A5 transluscents and started stocking the A9 PMS transluscent colours at about the same time.
